Veronika Podlesnova

My name is Veronika, and I am 15 years old. My native city is Dnipro. I study in the tenth grade of Gymnasium№3.

I think the more interests people have, the more interesting they are and the more opportunities they have. So, I have a lot of hobbies and interests. I have finished the piano classes of the music school and now proceed with guitar classes. I also love sports – playing tennis, equestrian and playing for the school basketball team.

I admire science! At school, the STEM-directions are being developed, and I am actively participating in that. I am the winner of many district and city Olympiads in various subjects. I am really interested in IT-direction (programming, robotics, graphics), so I am directly involved in field competitions and projects. Among my achievements are two victories at the All-Ukrainian computer science competition Happy Science, first places in Miksike, regional competitions of Pranglimine. In 2019, I participated in international competitions together with the national Ukrainian team. I am also proud of my team’s victory in regional competitions Interpipe Junior Mechatronics Lab 2019. We won a set of robots that will be used for studying programming at school.

I am currently working over the scientific work for the Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. I hope that my research is useful and will be further applied.

The STEM is FEM project became a real breakthrough for me. It inspired me to improve my skills and further develop. I want this project to develop and become interesting for many girls in the country! I hope the girls will find it as inspiring as I do.
