Margarita Meleshkova
Hello everyone! My name is Margarita Meleshkova, and I`m studying at the technical lyceum of Mariupol in the 11th grade of the chemical and biological profile. What initially led me to studying the science of ecology was the desire to prove myself as a pioneering scholar and the example of other students, who have achieved striking results not only in the field of environment, but in many other fields as well.
I have always dreamt of living in harmony with nature, people and me myself. And I have to make much effort to get over the indifference, with which some people treat news on environmental disasters, that they themselves very often cause unconsciously.
I wish people stopped polluting oceans, dumping garbage and those living in Africa ended starving from hunger and thirst. Unfortunately I can`t stop the arbitrariness all at once and I am well aware that trying to be good for all, to the whole world and every creature inhabiting it, would mean the same as a fresh water droplet in a salty sea – in other words, a vain effort.
That`s why I`m trying to do something that would help someone, make the living conditions better at least for somebody. This is my goal I`m studying with, because the best way to realize one`s ideas – is to get quality education and practice continued self-development. Having looked for various sources of new skills and relevant information, I have made a conclusion, that the space for obtaining theoretical knowledge is unlimited, but the practice and valuable acquaintances are much more difficult to deal with.
And I am very happy, there exists such wonderful project as the STEM is FEM , thanks to which I have met incredible women, who admire what they do and inspire others. I would like to thank the organizers and sponsors for giving me the chance to dive into what I love and what makes me move forward and get to new tops.
