Розповідаємо про творчу та талановиту Україну світові: просвітницька виставка «Наука – це вона» була частиною Днів України в Берліні та Бранденбурзі.

The educational exhibition "She is science" was part of the Days of Ukraine in Berlin and Brandenburg.

The opening ceremony of the two-day forum dedicated to strengthening Ukrainian-German academic cooperation was attended by: Maxim Emelyanov - Counselor-Ambassador of the Embassy of Ukraine in Germany / Ukrainische Botschaft in Berlin, Verena Blechinger-Talcott - Vice President of the Berlin Free University, Johann Zaathoff - Member of the Bundestag and Olga Garashchuk - President of the German-Ukrainian Academic Society.

"Ukrainian-German relations have developed in all spheres in recent years as never before. We are especially glad that the academic exchange and cooperation between our countries, which have also received significant impetus in recent years, have made a huge contribution to this, " - said Maxim Emelyanov, Counselor-Envoy of the Embassy of Ukraine in Germany.

He stressed that many talented young Ukrainians have the opportunity to implement and present their creative ideas through funding programs such as Erasmus and bilateral research projects.

The diplomat noted that part of this conference is called "Creating a stronger Europe together": "We are firmly convinced that only together with Ukraine as an important part of the European family can we make a united Europe stronger," he said.

Two Ukrainian exhibitions were presented at the forum: "50 inventions that Ukraine has presented to the world" and "She is science".

The exposition on the achievements of Ukrainian scientists was presented by the co-organizer of STEM is FEM Daria Bychkova.

"Not only illustrations are original, but also captions to paintings. This is not the usual background information about the female heroines of the project, which can be found on the Internet. These are essays of the girls-winners of the competition, in which they not only tell about the life and scientific path of women scientists, but also reflect on their role in the formation of world science and gender equality, " - said Ms. Bychkova.

The exhibition about talented Ukrainian women in science has visited many cities of Ukraine. Berlin is the first European capital to demonstrate the project.

She is science is an educational art project organized by STEM is FEM with the support of UN Women in Ukraine and the United Nations Children's Fund in Ukraine (UNICEF) as part of the UN Women's Generation of Equality campaign to promote gender parity among young people and ensure women's leadership in technology and innovation.
