Creative exhibition "She is science" was presented in the USA

We are happy to introduce the world to creative and talented Ukraine! The United States hosted an educational exhibition "She is science", dedicated to twelve Ukrainian scientists.

The opening of the exhibition about talented Ukrainian women took place as part of a reception on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence at the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco.

We are grateful for the support to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Consul General in San Francisco Dmytro Kushneruk.

In his speech, Mr. Kushneruk emphasized: “Promoting gender equality in science is a very important issue for any country in the world. It has long been proven that gender balance in any field leads to its flourishing. And role models are the best way to encourage young people. "

Stylized portraits of the scientists were created by Ukrainian illustrators, in particular, Serhiy Maidukov – the author of illustrations for the LA Times, New York Times, Wall Street Journal and other American publications.

Essays written by the winners of the all-Ukrainian competition of creative works tell about each heroine of the exhibition.

STEM is FEM is implementing the educational art project "She is science is" with the support of UN Women Ukraine and the UN Children's Fund in Ukraine (UNICEF) as part of the global UN Women "Generation of Equality" campaign.
