Yuliya Makliuk

Yuliya Makliuk has received a Master's Degree in Ecology and Environmental Protection from Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, and in Participation, Power and Social Change from Sussex University in the UK. She has also received a diploma from the annual certification program in Management of Non-Profit Organizations in the Ukrainian Catholic University.

Yulya is currently working as an ecomanagement consultant. She has consulted Atlas Weekend festival, Leopolis Jazz Fest, and Respublica FEST within a project of ecologization and inclusion from USAID / ENGAGE; Art Residency Climate and Arts Laboratories with the support of Culture Bridges; Green Academy in Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Ukraine, and others.

Yuliya has worked as a regional coordinator for the international environmental organization 350.org in Eastern Europe. She is an author and a trainer of the project 'Activism Inside' that aims to prevent burnout. Yuliya coordinates Zero Waste Consulting in OZERO. She created from scratch her own ceramics brand with a reduced environmental footprint and eco-friendly goods, which are nowadays presented in Ukrainian shops and design markets.
