Irina is an academic researcher at the NASU Institute of Mathematics, Ph.D. in Physical and Mathematical sciences.

The field of her researches is the symmetry of differential equations of mathematical physics.

Up to 5th grade, she wanted to be a biologist, and then Irina realized that only Mathematics can satisfy her ambitions. Irina is promoting mathematics to a wide audience. She is an author of more than 50 scientific papers and more than 50 articles in media on mathematics, pseudoscience, academic integrity, and reforms of scientific and educational systems. Irina took part in more than 40 international mathematical conferences in different countries. She has co-founded the Ukrainian scientific journal Symmetry, Integrability, Geometry: Methods and Applications. Irina is also a lecturer in a consulting service and a teacher in educational activities. Irina participated in working groups on the improvement of educational and scientific legislation and evaluation. She is a coach of educational activities for educators from Donetsk and Lugansk Oblast representing the Open Politics foundation. Irina is a regular lecturer of STEM is FEM Project. She is an author of lectures on STEM-education, critical thinking, and the application of mathematics in various fields.
