Olga Trofimtseva

Olga Trofimtseva is a Ukrainian politician, businesswoman, Ph.D. and Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine in 2019. She is in the TOP-100 of the most influential women in Ukraine, according to Focus magazine.

Olga graduated from the National Agrarian University of Ukraine, and then she continued her studies at the Humboldt University in Berlin. In Germany, she worked as a key expert in the German Dairy Industry Association, a Head of the office at an agrotechnical company, and headed the project of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture to advise Ukraine about the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement.

In 2016, Olga came back to Ukraine. She worked as Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on issues relating to European Integration. In February, she was appointed Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. Olga Trofimtseva became the first woman to head this ministry.

Olga says: "There is no particular secret to success. It doesn't matter what you do in your life, whether it is politics or business. The main thing is to cheer for what you do. In real life, one of the things that prevent our women in reaching career heights is fear and an underestimation of their abilities. A sense of self-confidence and inner freedom opens the way to achieving goals".
