Maryna Chernysh
Maryna Chernysh is a chief operations officer of FabLab Fabricator, a unique rapid prototyping laboratory.
Maryna graduated from the the Faculty of History and Philology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. She has also taken a course of the Future and innovation thinking at IED Barcelona and KMBS on how to run tech companies.
Maryna was at the origins of Fablab Fabricator, the largest rapid prototyping laboratory in Ukraine located on the territory of Unit.City. Within just two years, the laboratory got more than 200 implemented projects in various fields. They develop every project from an idea to a finished product. In Fablab Fabricator, Maryna managed the launching of Fabricator -1, an incubation program for high school students, and was one of the organizers of RNAbio, the first conference on biotechnology in Ukraine.
The global Fablab network generates a large number of interesting projects. In particular, projects in the areas of virtual and augmented reality, machine learning, and smart city. Each Fablab finds a problem at the local level, solves it and shares the expertise with other branches.
As a speaker at Stem is Fem, Maryna will talk about what projects of Ukrainian startups were created with the help of Fablab specialists and its equipment, about facilities and capabilities that are now available in the laboratory, as well as about their plans for the future and what other grand projects will be soon implemented in Ukraine.
