Kateryna Yarova

Kateryna Yarova is a founder and chief architect of IK-architects. She is also a founder and curator of CrazyRabochka, a course on architectural planning and interior design. Kateryna is also a co-founder of BuyWoodHouse, an architectural project that prepares typical private house projects using Augmented Reality.

In 2011, Kateryna graduated from Kharkiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, and in 2012, she founded her own office. IK-architects is an architectural bureau that develops architectural projects for private builders and interior design of residential spaces and commercial real estate at HoReCa facilities.

IK-architects has developed projects for such companies as Yuzhkabel, Kyivstar, Masterskaya Kofe, Krasivo Est, Sweeter, Black door pub, Red door pub, DAF pub, and many others.

Kateryna has a proactive attitude in life; she is in the TOP-10 of young architects in Ukraine; she is a finalist of the international competition Active House Awards (2018 Italy, 2019 Canada); she is a winner of the CG competition (Moscow 2013); Kateryna also recently took part in a video shooting for an online project dedicated to our generation of architects as part of the exhibition Encyclopedia of Architecture of Ukraine in Mystetskyi Arsenal.

At the meeting, Kateryna will share her own experience of being an architect in Ukraine. She will tell about the full cycle of the project, from an idea to its implementation; share curious situations she faced during the design process; and will show and tell the possibilities of Augmented Reality in architectural planning and interior design.
