Tanya Grunina is a lead of machine learning education initiatives in Google Brain, Silicon Valley. She teaches Google engineers the mathematics and statistics of artificial intelligence all over the world.
Tanya got a degree in Economics and Statistics at the National Research University Higher School of Economics. She started working for Google Moscow in 2015 as an industry analyst. The internship was followed by a 3 years data scientist job in Google Ireland. Meanwhile, Tanya spent all her vacations attending machine learning summer schools which she is passionate about. That allowed her to get the necessary experience to join the AI part of Google in Silicon Valley. Her project Machine Learning Consult Office Hours gathers the teams all over the company who stuck in their ML journey, while Tanya with other researchers helps to unblock them. In parallel, she is getting her second Master’s degree in Computer Science as learning is always fun
