Olexandra Gumeniuk

Olexandra Gumeniuk started her career as a lawyer and later graduated in economics. In 2014, she successfully received a Ph.D. in Economics as she defended her dissertation at the Chernihiv State Institute of Economics and Management. Olexandra worked as Director of International Projects at the Ukrainian NGO Harni Spravy.

She was an active member of the Management Committee of the Ukrainian National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum and a Coordinator of the Working Group on Environment, Energy, and Climate, which brings together 28 non-governmental organizations from all over Ukraine. As a coordinator, Ms. Gumeniuk represented Ukraine at international meetings of the Eastern Partnership organization.

Olexandra has also implemented many projects, including two international projects in cooperation with a consortium of partners from Georgia and Moldova on the financial support of the EU and the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) to implement the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement. In 2017, Alexandra was the leader of the EU project on circular economy and waste management. Also, Ms. Gumeniuk was involved as a project coordinator of a Kyiv and Munich project on energy efficiency issues in 2016-2017. She is currently the Director of the European-Ukrainian Energy agency.
