Olena Pareniuk

Olena Pareniuk is a radiobiologist, Biology Ph.D. candidate, Senior Researcher at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine. She is also a head of Ukrainian and international scientific and educational projects. For over eight years, Olena has been working in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. In 2014-2016, she worked at the Fukushima University Environmental Radioactivity Institute, where for the first time in the world she conducted a study of bacterial diversity within the destroyed ChNPP unit.
